PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Provide oversight and leadership for operational function and functional biosecurity for filtered operations.
Provide coordination for repairs and ongoing maintenance of structural components of filtered farms and structures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and implement a data base for filtered farm facilities structural components, function, repair, and on-going maintenance.
Maintain and improve current reporting tools for filtration inspections and work with IT to maintain/update these tools and reports.
Assist in development and repair implementation of structural components in filtered facilities.
Ensure the routine inspections, maintenance, and functional capabilities of filtered facilities are completed in a timely fashion.
This includes inspection of structural components, filters, grids, windbreaks, and proper air flow and exit velocity.
Develop and assist with inspection training for sow farm managers.
Review sow farm manager's weekly inspections.
Document and follow up on any reported issues.
Collaborate and provide leadership across cross-functional units that are responsible for filtration operation.
Includes production operations, ventilation and filtration technicians, health services and maintenance.
Oversee plastic filter grid and filter replacements, coordinating materials and labor while following all biosecurity protocols.
Assist with construction and inspection of new filter rooms on remodels and new constructions.

This position will have duties in all facilities of Iowa Select Farms so employee will need to be comfortable working in and being exposed to all facility environments.
This position may require some tasks to be performed in outside weather conditions.
The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibrations.
The environment you will be working will have nuisance levels of gasses and dust, particularly in the winter months This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
PHYSICALITY REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
Required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear.
Ability to frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds along with climbing up ladders or over gates.
The employee must have the ability to sit for long periods of time and to maintain focus on projects such as computer screens or detailed paperwork.
Ability to drive a vehicle for prolonged periods of time.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK This is a full-time position that will require a minimum of 40 hours per week Expected days and hours of operation include day-shift hours Monday-Fridays Occasional evening hours and weekend work may be required as job duties demand Additional availability may be required during staffing challenges TRAVEL Regular travel will be required for this position which entails the utilization of a company vehicle.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Prior experience in construction management and oversight is preferred.
Experience in and knowledge of swine facilities is a bonus.
